Frequently Asked Questions
What is a Home Coordinator?
We liken a Home Coordinator to the project manager of your home. They act as an extension of you to handle your home’s day-to-day chores, management, and operations, depending on the task list you and your Home Coordinator establish. With the help of a Home Coordinator, you can look forward to achieving more balance in your life.
What sorts of tasks can a Home Coordinator do?
From meal planning and prep to schedule management and event planning, our Home Coordinators are here to take care of your to-do list. While not exhaustive, we’ve compiled a list of common in-home services offered. If you have a special request or would like more information on potential services, please email hello@mysherri.com.
What is the process for matching me with a Home Coordinator?
It’s simple! Complete a request to join the MySherri™ community. If you are in our service area, we’ll have a quick initial call, gather a few more details about you, then select the right Home Coordinator based on your needs, You will meet your Home Coordinator at the in-home consultation.
What is an in-home consultation?
If you’re in our current service area and interested in joining the MySherri™ community, we offer a free in-home consultation. This is an opportunity for you to meet with your Home Coordinator and a founding member of the MySherri™ team, walk through your home, identify any needs, and begin to establish a task list.
I already have a house cleaner. How is MySherri™ different?
MySherri™ provides comprehensive home management, which allows you to have one trustworthy person dedicated to taking care of all of the tasks on your to-do list. Efficiency is key, and Home Coordinators make the most of their time in your home to accomplish more in less time. While Home Coordinators can absolutely clean your home, that just scratches the surface of the types of services your Home Coordinator provides. View the most common in-home services here.
What is a Sherri Sweep?
Our signature Sherri Sweep is the general cleaning, tidying, and surface wipedown of your home. For specific deep cleaning needs, talk with your Home Coordinator.
What happens if I go on vacation?
We continue service! This is a perfect time for your Home Coordinator to knock out bigger projects, refresh your home for your arrival, and run errands.
I have reservations about letting someone into my home. How do I know that I can trust my Home Coordinator?
Every Home Coordinator undergoes a rigorous screening process, including a federal background check and 10-panel drug test. Once accepted and hired, every Home Coordinator completes a training program and has a review period to ensure they are ready to be matched with clients.
What if I have an urgent request?
Please let your Home Coordinator know if you have an urgent task. We will try to accommodate your request, but this may move other requests to the next working day.
How do I pay for MySherri™ services?
We accept payment with any major credit card. All MySherri™ plans are recurring monthly subscriptions.
What holidays does MySherri observe? Do you make up these days?
As a company founded to help provide more balance for all, we believe in giving our employees the opportunity to enjoy time off to reset and refresh. MySherri™ provides the following holidays off to our employees: New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Election Day, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day.
I need to have scheduled maintenance on my HVAC. Can a Home Coordinator schedule and oversee contractors and vendors?
Yes, just let your Home Coordinator know what service you need. She can research, vet, and obtain quotes from different companies to present to you. After you select the company or vendor you’d like, your Home Coordinator can handle the rest.
Can I leave my minor children in the home when the Home Coordinator is present?
MySherri™ is neither licensed nor covered for childcare. A parent or guardian must be present at all times when children are home. If you would like your Home Coordinator to review and hire childcare, please let your Home Coordinator know and they will happily set that up for you.
What happens if my Home Coordinator is sick?
MySherri™ believes that “sharing is not caring” when it comes to illness. Therefore, if your Home Coordinator is ill, we will not send them into your home and someone from the company will reach out to notify you. In the event your Home Coordinator is unable to make up the visit, a substitute Home Coordinator will be assigned or a make-up appointment will be scheduled to accommodate the missed visit.
What precautions is MySherri™ taking to prevent the spread of COVID-19?
Following updated guidance and the World Health Organization recognition that the Covid-19 Pandemic has ended, MySherri will no longer require our team members to wear masks in all of our client homes. If you and your family still prefer a mask be worn, simply ask your Home Coordinator to wear one.
